How do crypto price alerts work?
Each alert has a coin, a target price and a direction (above or below). A background job checks live market prices on a schedule, and as soon as your condition is met we notify you and mark the alert as triggered so you never get duplicate messages.
Where does your price data come from?
All market data comes from CoinGecko, which aggregates prices across hundreds of exchanges. We never use placeholder or simulated numbers.
Do I need to install an app?
No. GetKoinology runs entirely in your browser. You can optionally enable web push notifications to receive alerts on your device even when the site isn't open.
